FUEL INJECTION
Both gasoline and diesel engines today have fuel injection
systems that are accurate, boost fuel mileage, performance, and lower
exhaust emissions.
Until they get dirty and plugged.
Stop and go driving takes its toll on everything. It is not the miles
you put on, but the hours of running at low speeds or zero speed has
great effect on the fuel delivery system and causes carbon to build up
on the electronic controls.
Periodic scheduling of chemical cleaning of injectors and air intake
systems restore the performance and mileage that is slowly lost over
time.
The cost of fuel alone in reduced mileage is bad enough; don't wait
until it won't pass emissions.
Schedule this service once a year if you do a lot of stop and go and
adda recommended cleaner to your fuel tank about every forth tank or so.

TIRES
If the tires on your vehicle are not rolling with the least possible resistance, you will waste gas fighting the unnecessary drag. This is especially important to hybrids. The two most common reasons for this needless loss of fuel economy are an impropper alignment and underinflated tires.
A simple way to get maximum fuel efficiency out of your vehicle and prevent premateur tire wear is to make sure your tires are inflated and maintained at the correct pressure. Go by the pressure recommended on the sidewall of your tires, NOT by the car manufacturer's recommendation from the doorjam for best results. The car manufacturer's guidlines are more for a smooth ride than fuel economy and durability, and does not take into account the type of tires with which your car is currently equipped.
